The hand size limit is enforced at the end of your Discard Phase. You must end the Discard Phase with eight (8) or less cards in your hand (see Overview of a Turn in the rulebook [p. 7] or Discard Phase in the rulebook [p. 36]). This category includes all cards with a special ability that allows or directs a player to modify the hand size limit. These cards may target the player’s hand or an opponent’s hand.
