Discarding all cards “in battle” refer only to the specific battle or side battle that is taking place. Discarding all cards “in the Field of Battle” discards all cards in all battles currently taking place in the Field of Battle. Discarding all cards in the Field of Battle (e.g., Rizpah’s Sackcloth) results in all the Hero(s) and Evil Character(s) instantly being discarded along with any enhancement cards in the Field of Battle. This may be interrupted (see Mutual Destruction by Mutual Removal in the rulebook [p. 24]). This ends the Battle Phase by mutual destruction with a special ability. No Lost Soul is rescued (see Mutual Destruction by Mutual Removal in the rulebook [p. 31]).
