• The special abilities that include the word ‘may’ allow you to choose whether or not to also draw cards and whether or not to play the next enhancement (e.g., Reach of Desperation, Words of Encouragement, etc.). If the word “may” is not used, the holder must perform the special ability (if possible).
• If a special ability requires you to draw one or more cards and the draw pile is exhausted, do not draw a card. If a special ability requires you to discard one or more cards from a target (e.g., draw pile, discard pile, players hand, etc.), and the target is exhausted, do not discard a card.
• Unless stated otherwise, draw cards from your own draw pile.
• Unless specified otherwise, any Lost Soul drawn due to a special ability must be placed in your Land of Bondage and replaced by another card from the top of your draw pile.
• Cards drawn become part of your hand as they are put in your hand.
